latest result and explantion on the points system
Yom latest results was 11 and 12 and here points in each competition is 154 and 174 respectively.
this point didn't change Yom average.
this is because the average is the average of the two best results of the current year, and Yom two best results is about 130.
the point are "bad" points. so the best average is zero.
the way that the points are sets is, in each competition a minimum of point is set. the minimum is depends on the rank of the sloop and the mostly by the other competitors on the competition.
if all of the best skiers will come to the competition the minimum point will be very low.
but for any other competition the minimal point can get up to one hundred or more.
for each competitor the points is deepens on the position, the 1st taking the minimal point is the competition, and the time deference form the 1st competitor.
in skiing, unlike swimming and athletics, there is no time records because any sloop is different from the other and in the same sloop the trek or the snow condition can be different. so the 1st competitor is setting the minimum time and all the other competitor is set by it.
I am hoping i helped a little
good luck to Yom next week

skinig in summer

Australia is an amazing place with a beautiful scenery.
Now, I am training in Falls Creak which is in the "Australian Alps" , Victoria state, South of Australia.
The ski site is nice and there is a lot of snow. The staff is very nice, smiling all the time.
Nevertheless, occasionally the weather can by very windy or foggy and we can't ski.
There is a lot of ski site in Australia where the distance form one to other is very big.
I am frequently traveling to those sites to compete.
In short, I am enjoy the skiing, the company, and the scenery here in Australia.
Best regards
Yom
